Frederick, MD - Morgan-Keller is set to start construction of the Brunswick Library project the first part of this year. Demolition of the existing library will take place before construction can begin on the new facility. The new library designed by Morris & Ritchie Associates, Inc. is a 15,400 sf one-story contemporary building with brick and glass exterior. This project will be LEED certified. LEED consultant on this project is Lorax Partnerships, LLC.
The contract was awarded to Morgan-Keller in December 2009. The construction schedule for the library will take approximately one year to build. Business development manager, Bill Hasson states, “We are excited to begin this new project for Frederick County. The Brunswick library project will be Morgan-Keller’s fourth library project.”
Morgan-Keller is one of Maryland’s largest and most respected commercial builders, with offices in Frederick and Columbia. Now in its 54th year of operation, M-K’s resume of recently completed projects includes office buildings, retail centers, hotels, healthcare/biomedical and several senior living facilities.
