Morgan-Keller’s Securetilt® Prototype featured in NAIOP's National Publication

Morgan-Keller’s SecureTILT Prototype was featured in NAIOP’s Summer 2012 Development Magazine, a publication with a national circulation.

Leveraging the combined experience of DVA Architects, LJB Inc., MK Concrete Construction, and Hinman Consulting Engineers, the team has developed a standard for up to five-story tilt wall construction that meets the DOD standards for progressive collapse avoidance and medium level blast protection.

The article entitled “Protecting Buildings From Structural Impacts” highlights the significant benefits of this program, including a savings of 20 percent below a traditional structural steel and precast model.

Besides a three-month shorter construction schedule, a key savings in the SecureTilt® prototype is the elimination of exterior columns or beams due to the use of load-bearing concrete panels.
